Last week saw the arrival of some soggy dogs but some very waggy tails in the Orvis London retail store for our Orvis Dogs ‘Dog Pawty.’ The incessant downpour outside did little to dampen the spirts of those who arrived and soon everyone was tucking in to the drinks and nibbles (dogs included) with much enthusiasm!
After drying off a little the guests had an opportunity to meet many of those from the dog loving community who they had communicated with over various media outlets and soon contact details were being exchanged and humans and four-footed-friends alike were posing for photos.

The guests included the much loved and well renowned Marcel the Corgi @LeCorgi who has taken London by storm since arriving from France, the latest edition to the pack of Kimberley’s @citydogexperts, Chaplin the Saluki, and the ginormous but oh-so-friendly Caspar of @milosdogrunning – to name but a few.
After everyone’s appetites had been satiated, Orvis London Store Manager Blake Findley spoke about the perks of becoming an Orvis Dog Club member, which were warmly received by all – Many had signed up by the end of the evening and more have since been in touch to say that they too are excited to join.
After that, it was time for the competitions! Amelia the Prince Charles Cavalier won the waggiest tail by a mile with her fantastic 60 wags per minute. Gustavito the rescue dog was our crowned jester for the day, wowing us all with tricks galore. Giving him a real run for his money was Rollo and @casparthewestie, who in spite of getting a little carried away with all of the excitement, still put on a spectacular show. The Orvis London team rewarded all of the winners with tasty goodies from their dog department and all of the contestants enjoyed snaffling treats during their participation!
Since the event, Orvis has had extremely enthusiastic feedback and everyone is looking forward to the next fun filled Dog Pawty, which will be taking place on September the 28th and themed ‘Dog Friendly Stays.’ Stay tuned for future events with our furry, four-footed friends!
